
SUPPLY BASE MANAGEMENT
We’ve developed a robust Supplier Selection and Rating Program to ensure that our supply base maintains the highest levels of quality and responsiveness to customer requirements.
All new suppliers undergo an initial audit and performance evaluation period. During that time material is inspected at 100%. Once the supplier obtains Preferred or Approved Supplier status inspection is based on AQL sampling. We use a Supplier Scorecard system which measure quality, on-time delivery, percent of returned product and customer support on a quarterly basis. Supplier status and inspection requirements are adjusted based on scorecard performance.
While PCB assembly is a subcontracted service, we actually work closely with our suppliers in this area to ensure cost-competitive material procurement. We have established relationships with major distributors and also source some components offshore.
